Sergeant Steven Michael Robin, age 34, was killed in the line of duty on December 14, 2022.

Steven was a kind, loving and humble family man. Steven was captivated by everything Disney. He loved spending time with his family and taking trips to Disney World was his ideal vacation. Steven met the love of his life, his wife Amy, who was his biggest support in the decision to serve his community as a law enforcement officer.

Steven started his law enforcement career in 2012 at the Hancock County Sheriff Office. He then served the citizens of Waveland from 2013 until 2019 as a patrolman and a supervisor. In 2019, Steven joined the Bay St. Louis Police Department as a patrolman. Steven had years of service and with his experience, he was quickly promoted to Sergeant. Steven was a dedicated public servant and was passionate about his calling to the profession. Steven was more than a supervisor he was a leader. Steven spent time mentoring and training every one of the younger less experienced officers who had the opportunity to work under his supervision. Steven was a self-educated person who spent time keeping up with new laws and legal updates and would share the information he learned at every chance he was afforded.

On the morning of December 14, 2022 Sergeant Steven Robin and Bay St. Louis Police Department Officer Branden Estorffe responded to a call that took their lives. Sergeant Steven Robin, the supervisor on scene, determined a young child was in a dangerous situation with her mother and was attempting to get her to safety and the mother help. In doing so, Sergeant Robin was fatally shot and died heroically in the line of duty. Sergeant Robin gave his life for what he believed in, his passion for helping people. Sergeant Robin heroically gave his life by keeping his oath to serve and protect. Sergeant Robin is missed greatly by everyone who knew him. Sergeant Robin’s legacy will live on through his family, his wife Amy, his friends, and his brothers in blue. And through his community, forever knowing he died a hero.
