The city public works department is responsible for maintaining the drainage in our community. The staff works hard to keep the large main drain ditches cleaned to allow the flow of water during rain events. This include ditch digging, cleaning and grass cutting. This is an ongoing effort by our staff.
Residents are asked to help keep the ditches near their property cleaned of debris. Often times during rain events, debris in the ditches will block culverts and result in water backing up. it is very easy for residents to remove debris that is in the ditch by their homes.
